I know this will change for everyone, but I'm just wondering what it was like for everyone else.
I have been married for 2 1/2 years and my husband and I are wanting to conceive in the beginning of 2011. I know things don't always go exactly how you want them to go, but that's the plan.
I went off the pill approximately a month ago. The doctor said to go off a few months before actively trying to conceive. I had my first period a week ago, but it didn't seem normal. I had almost no blood, just brown discharge. I had one day that there was a little blood but it was nothing like I remember my periods being before I went on the pill. It wasn't even as heavy as when I was on the pill.
I guess I'm wondering if after 7.5 years on BC does this light period mean I'm not ovulating? Did this happen to anyone else when going off the pill to try to conceive? If so, how long did it take?
I'm really not worried, just more curious. Thanks![]()
It will take your body at least 3 months for it to adjust back to a regular mentrual cycle pattern. Some women go back to normal right away, and some don't. I would say that if after 3 months if you keep having those types of periods, I would see your doctor and he can test if you ovulate. Your doctor will be able to kick start that with medications if you're not. I had the same thing where I spotted a little about a week or so before my expected period. The 2nd month, everything was back to normal.
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
