Birth Control Altering "Smell"

Has anyone had their "smell" down there altered by taking the pill?

I really love my BC (loestrin24fe), but I hate that it has 1: increased the amount of discharge I have on a daily basis, and 2: made me smell different down there.

I was wondering if anyone else experienced this on their pill and how they cope with this? It's incredibly annoying.

I was on microgestin fe and I had the exact same issue. It was weird. It also made my armpits smell funny. I wonder if it has to do with the iron ("fe") content? I have never had this problem on the tri-phasic pills. I ended up switching back to sprintec.

I know this is an old thread. But I have been wondering what that smell is from too! I can smell it just sitting at my desk at work, and it's so embarrassing! I'm also on loestrin24fe; started it in October. As for the discharge, mine is still pretty normal. Still gotta wear a pantyliner almost everyday, but oh well. So maybe the birth control causes the smell??
