Birth Control question ... Helpp Pleasee
Okay so i have been on birth control for almost a yeaer now and in my pack the last 7 pills are just sugar pills. I was wondering if considering the pills at the end of the pack are just suagr pills and dont really do anything, when i start the new pack is the birth control less effective? or is it okay to have sex right at the begining of my new pack? i feel like i have to wait 2 weeks cause the sugasr pills are like not taking the birth control and it scared me to have sex at the begining of a new pack cause i feel its not effective... is it?
Taking the sugar pills does not automatically mean you are no longer protected. The pill is designed to always give you protection as long as you consistently take it at the same relative time every day and do not miss or skip any. The sugar pills are there to make sure you are always in the routine of never forgetting to take a pill everyday as well as to give you a period. So you are fine with taking those sugar pills and the new pack without worry of losing any protection, just make sure you are consistent with taking them.
