Thread: Stopped taking birth control

I stopped taking birth control yesterday during the green pills. I waited until this pack was in the green pills and I am curious to know how long will it take till my body goes back to normal. I was only on it for four months and broke up with my boyfriend so there is no need for me to be on it anymore. I have my period now, does this also mean that I will get my period again when my body knows it should be getting a new pack of pills on Sunday?

Since I was only on it for four months, my body just adjusted to being on the pill.

After this period, if you stay off the pill you won't likely have another period for around 28-30 days. However, it may take a month or so for your body to adjust back to where it would be naturally so just be sure to carry extra "supplies" in your purse at all times just in case.

In the future, when you get back into a relationship, highly consider your other non-hormonal BC options. Make the fella take some responsibility too. I know people don't like condoms, but they are MUCH better than you living with constant side effects of the pill.
