You are perfectly fine, If you missed the pill for a couple of days or more, then I would be very slightly concerned.
My boyfriend and I had sex at about 630PM and he came inside me. I had been taking the pill around the same time everyday up till today (at about 945PM) for the past half year. After having sex tonight, I forgot about taking the pill and just remembered, about 3 hours later (1230AM). Should I get Plan B or will I be protected just fine? I'm very scared.
Thanks.

BTW, I take ortho tri-cyclen Lo...is that a mini pill? I heard mini pills work differently and 3 hours late could be trouble![]()
No, no different. Also, being within 3 days before and after the middle of your cycle (day 14 since your last period) is your most fertile time. If you are outside of this time frame, less likely you will conceive.
I am currently on the 3rd week (last week before sugar pills)...and I start every pack on Sunday (that would mean this is day 17). Am I still ok?

very good! fat chance you could have conceived. Like I said, 3 hours difference is the same as taking your pill on time. If you are as precise about taking your pill at the same time every day as you say your are, trust me, you have nothing to fear.
Thanks DebbieRN!
Btw, if i had unprotected sex before taking a late pill, I would have less chances anyway because I took the pill correctly prior to sex right?
Again, don't be concerned about taking the pill a few hours late or early, as long as you take it that day. Also, the whole idea of being on the pill is to be able to have unprotected sex (with your usual partner) without worrying about getting pregnant.
"Minipill" is a technical term. Combination pills have both estrogen and progestin, even the low-dose ones. Minipills have no estrogen at all. You're on a low-dose pill so there's more leeway.
