Hello all!
I just started to use Norimin. I had been on this contracteptive 2 years ago and had no problems, in fact I felt the benefits which was fabulous!
I have been slightly obsessing over the negative side effects which float around online. And as an analytical person, I cant help but be a little paranoid about it.
This morning I was feeling very very anxious and light headed. This is how i tend to feel when I am menstruating. But I couldnt help but wonder, what if it was an effect of the pill?!
How quickly would you feel side effects after starting the pill anyway? (i started yesterday)
And also, do you think I am overeacting about the negative side effects?
I just need to put my mind at ease. Feels like Its a whole new experience because I was off it for such a long time!!
Thank you for all your help.
Lucia

I am not really sure you would feel anxiety after 1 day of the pill, but the dizziness could be an effect of just starting a new medication. Sometimes something you've taken years ago worked great and now it doesnt, that can be pretty common. If you feel it gets worse then I would talk to your doctor. Every doctor I spoke to though said that it takes 3 months for your body to fully adjust to the pill.
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
hey thanks for your response.
Im sure it was a usual case of anxiety to something new - because Ive been feeling normal!
Appreciate your reply and thank you!!
I don't think negative side effects are anything to take lightly. If it affects your quality of life then it shouldn't be ignored. Think about it, how many men would be willing to go through light-headedness, weight gain/loss, mood swings, spotting, loss of hair, loss of libido, fatigue etc just to be able to have unprotected sex with you? Ummm......I can tell you there aren't many that would.
If what you are experiencing is normal for you, then why worry? But if it's something different...if you find yourself feeling lightheaded at times you normally wouldn't have, if you find yourself feeling unusually fatigued, crazy mood swings, or other things that aren't the norm for you then you'll know to attribute that to the hormonal bc. Doctors will tell you all those side effects are pretty normal. And maybe they are.......but if that's normal, then I decided I didn't want to be normal and went off the pill. I got tired of being told that was just "part of it".

"The next time you're thinking of kicking someone when they're down, offer them your hand and help them back up instead."
If your other birth control worked why change. If your still having side effects your feel uncomfortable with tell your doctor. Ask her or him to put you back on the contraception you were on.
