I had my para guard IUD inserted back in 2007 and had a few yeast infections but nothing to serious. Well this past week I had felt nauseous and so I stayed home. I took a shower to help me feel better and hopefully be able to eat something. It was a few days after my last period so as always I checked for my strings which are always there. This time they weren't, I laid down and figured Id make an appt asap to have them checked. When I rolled over to grab the remote control I started have sharp tapping pains on my right side and felt dizzy. Got an appt, the doc couldn't find strings either and so she xrayed me and announced that my IUD is sideways but still working. She also said I have an infection that could be causing the pain, bacterial vaganosis or something like that. I am still in extreme pain after taking the antibiotics for a few days I don't feel the cramping but still the pain and wondering if I should get this removed...any advice? I am a 26 yr old mother of 2 girls, 5 and 3 and not ready for another.
