sorry that this is my second post on this topic but I'm concerned and haven't gotten a straight answer yet.

i've been on ortho tri cyclen lo for about a year. earlier this month i got sick with tonsillitis and was prescribed amoxicillin 875mg bid. i started taking the amoxicillin/antibiotic on day 14 of my cycle (ovulation time?) and haven't had sex the entire time I've been taking the antibiotic since I heard it could interfere with the birth control. i did have sex with ejaculation two consecutive days before starting the antibiotic. initially i was worried that the swimmies would be hanging around and ready to jump on that egg with the compromised birth control and i would end up preggers.

i started spotting about three days later, which turned into bleeding, which turned into heavier bleeding and now it's time for my regularly scheduled period and have really heavy thick bleeding. i've called my ob/gyn 3 times and havent' got a call back yet. i doubt i am pregnant but i am pretty sure that the birth control definitely has been compromised. my husband has been very understanding and not having sex with me until we know for sure that we are 'safe' again. my question is "WHEN?" i'm two days into my inactive week and start a new active pack on next monday.

I'm wondering when the bleeding of this nasty period will end and when can I start having sex again?
