Question Spotting on Loestrin...would it help to go straight on to the next pack?

OK, so I am on my third month of taking Loestrin Fe. The first month I spotted a bit but nothing too major, just a bit of brown-ish blood. The second month I didn't spot at all... But now that I am on my third month, I have been spotting quite a bit. It started on the second week, and went for about a week, much like a period. In fact, it was heavy enough that I could wear tampons.

I know that these symptoms typically go away after the second or third month. As a bit of background, when I was on Yaz, I never had any spotting. My question is, how can I ensure that this doesn't happen? I've been taking Vitamin C and trying to be healthy... One idea I thought of is to not take the inactive pills, and instead go straight on to my next pack. If anything it'd shift things around I suppose.

Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!

You cannot ensure it does not happen. All body reactions are different in all women on all pills. Spotting is often a sign that your body is simply not yet used to the routine of seeing that birth control pill in you. There is no way to determine how long spotting will happen or how often. You can skip periods by just skipping the placebos but it is best not to do that in the middle of placebo pills because it will yet again mess up the regulation cycle of everything. If you are to skip placebos it should be finish one pack, skip placebos altogether, and start a new pack...not skipping around with different times starting a new pack. It also not really recommended that you skip periods because it does mess up how your body perceives the pill in you over time and the simple fact that you will not know if you are pregnant at any point unless you take pregnancy tests.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
