Changes in Gums and Ortho tri cyclen lo?
I have been on ortho tri cyclen low for the past 3 years. The last year my dentist has noticed a change in my gums. He wants me to go off the pill for 3 months and see if my gums improve. My gums bleed easily and the pockets are now deeper. Anyone have any similar situations while on birth control? I am terrified of going off because i have horrible pms along with vomiting during my period. Anyone know of other birth controls that wont cause these problems with my gums?
Everyone is a little different, what causes you a problem, may be no problem for someone else. You should talk with your doctor or Planned Parenthood about other options, either a different pill or some other method.
