Thread: Starting Back on the Pill

Hi there,
I have been taking generic Yasmin for 5 years now, but I was off of it last month because I was late going to the gyno. I haven't had unprotected sex (I have used a condom) since my last period, which ended on April 24th, but I am a week late. I understand that this is normal when being off of the pill. My question is, should I wait until I have a period to start my birth control again? I hear that you can skip periods completely after going off the pill, but would it be okay to just start birth control? Also, I don't have any concerns about being pregnant, since I am being safe.
