Depot shot...help!
So, I started taking the depot shot about a month ago and was told by the doctor that it should work instantly. I didn't think that sounded right though so I read some info online and found that it takes 24 hours, so of course I waited until the next day to have sex.
Today, I'm a bit worried though because I missed my period. The info I read said that it was common for that to happen after a year of continuously taking the shots. Could I be pregnant?
Your period should come eventually, it's normal for it to be delayed with the start of any hormonal birth control method.
If you're not sure, take a home pregnancy test, they're quick and cheap.
