I just got off the birth control pill about 2-3 weeks ago. I have been reading Taking Charge of your Fertility (to start a natural birth control routine) and have been attempting to chart but kinda learning as I go. I get the chart stuff but I have a few questions about the cervical fluid part.
Today, I noticed a large goop of eggwhite like stuff when I wiped. It was clearish-tan and rubbery feeling in a way, like it stretched but it didn't break, it stayed together like a thick gooey gel.
1) Was this the eggwhite quality I'm supposed to be looking for?
2) Is the eggwhite cervical fluid supposed to consistantly flow the whole day/days or is it kinda sporadic?- I've had slimy stretchy thin stuff the past couple days but this is the only time I've seen this eggwhite stuff, and haven't seen any more since this morning. Is it just a one time deal? Now when I wipe its just the thicker lotiony stuff. Can it change that fast in only 8 hours? I'm confused.
3) If what I experienced this morning was actual eggwhite cervical fluid, then I've experienced it a couple times before back when I was on the pill. I had no idea what it was and kinda thought I had an infection but I'm a 100% positive it was the same as what I had today because I remember showing my husband (gross I know but he's my hubby and I want him to know everything he can about my body) But my question is.... why did I have eggwhites when I was on the pill??? Do you get eggwhites even if you don't ovulate? Does that mean my Pill wasn't working? That's pretty scary to me!!
4) I just got off the Pill a couple weeks ago and know to expect my body to be out of whack for a while until I get regulated again. So, my chart is quite crazy looking but I know it's because of recently coming off of birth control. My temperatures have been a little messy but my cervical fluids are following the right pattern. Does this mean I'm fertile right now? Or maybe my body didn't need a lot of time to bounce off of the pill?
The cervical fluid part is honestly totally confusing to me because I really don't know what "my" fluid qualities are that I need to be looking for. I kinda feel like I'm making it fit what I think should be happening.
5) The cervical position stuff: How the heck do you tell what position it is in and how big the opening is??? I struggle to reach the dang thing, and when I do actually manage to touch it I have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for. How would I know if its high or low? when it's out of reach like it always is?
