Hi, ok so this is kind of a long story so ill try and summarize. I have been taking birth control pills for years, but recently I have staggered taking it to every other month when i visit my long distance boyfriend. Ok so anyway I had my period the first days of last month & didn't start taking the pill again till the first of this month when my bf came to visit, & that's where it gets tricky because i stopped taking my pill a week after he left, because for some reason I thought it was about time for my period to start. So I got some pink one day & I thought my period was on its way, but its been three days & nothing. Could I be pregnant, or did I freak my body out by suddenly stopping the pill? Sorry it was still a long story

You cannot keep jumping back and forth between taking it and not taking it. Your body needs to see that pill in you every single day in order for it to be effective. If you are not interested in taking the pill then simply come completely off of it, do not hop back and forth between yes and no. If you do not want your period to happen then you must take the pills consecutively meaning you take the first 3 weeks of pills normally, skip the placebos, and that week you should be taking your placebos you instead start taking the active pills of your next pack. Since you are always stopping and going with the pill your body is already all confused and not going to respond the way it should. You will likely now need to see a doctor to discuss how long you should come off the pill, so your body can go back to normal response mode, then start back up again when the doctor says to.
