hey My name is Anna and I am new to the forum but happy to have joined and this is my problem

    hi,

    this started two months ago.

its about Birth control, I am using Tri-cylen Lo.

Two months ago i had missed a pill early in my pack and was spotting through out that whole month. which I figured that I would. But by the end of the month it just made me so frustrated that i didn't take my last two pills.. because my period was coming anyway.

During that week of sugar pills I had been away and didn't have my next pack, and where I was I couldn't get a new pack. so when i got back 3 days in to my new pack and missed my first three packs. but I went to the doctor right away. but ofcourse he said that I wasn't protected for that month and I started that new pack..

But for reasons that I don't really wanna get into I didn't tell my bf and were really sexualy active... anyway .. first month no period on sugar pills.. but like three days after I bleed for like a day. and then second month so far no period and its sat and new pack starts tommorrow and nada..

ok.. so and things you should know also.. is that like the other morning .. i thought I was going to get my period and like sore breasts and upset stomach.. and then like for the last couple weeks I have been having troubles eating.. and will sometimes skip meals or eat alot less because its hard.

I don't want to assume pregnancy but I don't want to count it out. .because I dno.. Im just worried.. have I messed something up.. uhg I don't know ..

I ive been working alot this last week and i dno if my tiredness is just from that or not.. i don't know.

    any help would be awesome

Continually missing pills, or skipping them altogether will already mess up your cycle for months. As soon as you miss a total of 3 pills in a row you will need to scrap an entire pack and start a brand new one WITHOUT missing anything in the new pack. The doctor was correct in saying you were not protected for that first month because it was not taken exactly as directed (that just means take it the same time everyday without missing any).

If you are concerned of pregnancy all you can do is take a pregnancy test or two in order to ease your mind. Other than that you will need to try your best to start taking the pills exactly as directed without missing, skipping, or losing any. The pills are extremely effective if taken how they are supposed to be taken, you just need to get into the right routine.

Take a pregnancy test. I'm having the same problem remembering to take my pill and letting get life in the way. If you don't stick to the directions you risk an unwanted pregnancy. You really should weigh whether you want to continue using a method of contraception that may not be right for you.

At this point I'm considering the shot and maybe even the ring.

Take a test and face the issue head on. The pill has side effects that might cause nausea and breast soreness similar to being pregnant, so your best bet is to take a test.

    Goodluck.

Thanks guys, and I will take a test, I guess I've just been avoiding it. But for this whole last month I've been really good about taking my pills (90%) so it was weird that I didn't get my period on the my placebo pills. :S

It needs to be 100% when you take the pills not 90%. Any amount of missing will alter the effectiveness of the pill.
