Short story: I had my implanon rod replaced days ago but my arm is still bleeding - normal or not?

I had my implanon rod taken out and replaced 5 days ago now. The procedure was very painful even with the local anaesthetic. The doctor put 3 - 4 steri strips on my cut, but kept having to take them off and put more on, as they would get blood soaked before they had a chance to stick. I still have the sterile gauze on it, but the cut is still bleeding. Is this normal? I am concerned that maybe the doctor did not do it properly. I don’t know anyone else who has had it taken out before so hoping to get an answer here!
