I've been on Levora for a year; it's been great, no problems. I skip periods on it - mostly during the school year, when I'm with my boyfriend. This past summer, I had didn't skip and had them in May, July and August (I skipped June because I was starting a new job and didn't want to deal with my period). So I've skipped September and October - both months were fine, no spotting, nothing.
The last few weeks though my schedule has been crazy, so there have a been a few times where I've taken the pill a few hours late. However, there was one day (I forgot when but it was pretty recently - maybe even this weekend?) that I forgot to take a pill. I remembered the next morning so I took it right away and then took the regularly scheduled pill at the usual time.
Today I noticed brown blood on my underwear; when I wipe in the bathroom there's nothing on the toilet paper. I put on a pantyliner and then there was a tiny bit of brown discharge. I took my pill at the usual time today too. * I know this next part sounds gross, but I stuck a QTip in my vagina and it was covered in brown discharge. *
When I do get my period, it's during the first week of the month, so I technically should be having it this week - but I just started a new pack since I wanted to skip November.
The spotting is probably a combination of missing a pill/taking it late - but my question is, if I keep taking the pill right at the usual time, will the spotting go away?
I technically have 2 more weeks plus the end of this week in my pack, but should I stop after this week so I can have my period? I'm hesitant to do this because I've been skipping periods and I know I'll have more brown discharge for at least 2 more weeks and then my period. My and my boyfriend's one year anniversary is coming up on the 19th, so I know we'll want to have sex.
The spotting isn't that bad, is it okay to have sex during it? Should I just have him wear a condom?
