I'm on the pill and I was just wondering how much of a difference does the time I take my BC make? I take my pill everyday but it's not always on time though. It can be up to 30 minutes to 4 hours late.

You have roughly a 3 hour window. Taking it within 30 minutes is perfectly acceptable and greatly encouraged because it keeps everything topped off. Say you take it at 3pm, it is fine to take it at 7pm if something happens like you cannot get home in time but if you take it again at 3pm the next day and after that late again at 7pm, just back and forth with random times you will need to pick a new time for other days at say 6pm to make things more consistent. It is all about consistency when taking the pill.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
