Thread: Isn't this a violation

My dad went to pick up my brothers medication and somehow the pharmacy asked my dad if he wants to take mine too. Which he paid $5 for.

But isn't that a violation? To give MY medication to a family member? Especially since I'm well over 18? Do pharmacies share the HIPAA thing too?

Anyways he calls me to the living room and says "you know your pills won't protect you against STD's right?"

And i had no idea he picked them up so im like "What pills O_o?"

hes like "the *names the generic company brand*"

i'm like "huh?"

Hes like "the pharmacy gave me the pills to give to you"

Im all "oh my birth control. I use that for my heavy flows and really bad cramping and acne"

and my mom is like "yeah i told your dad that too"

and then dads like "it doesnt protect you against STD's"

and im like "oh really? I thought they do"

and moms like "I saw on the news that they can give you cancer"

[everything can give you cancer- mom]

I didn't feel awkward at all, but really dad? BC doesn't protect me from STDs? That sucks...


also, i think he knows im having sex. Oh well- less of a shock to them if they find out somehow for sure.
