Unfortunately my fiance and I only see each other for a few weeks every few months right now. I took a break from the pill during our first period apart then started it again about 5 months later, before we had time together again. I'm about to finish a pack now and we won't be seeing each other for at least 3 months possibly 6.
Is it bad for your body to go on BC for 2-3 months, then off for a few then on again and so forth? My schedule makes taking it at the same time every day difficult (if I were having sex I would do whatever I had to to make sure that I took it when I needed to, but I'm not having sex now so there's little motivation) and I don't like spending the money on something that I don't currently need.
I don't think it would do anything serious to your health, but it definately can mess with your horomones and makes your period out of wack. I wouldn't suggest going on and off it THAT often. Would you consider getting something like the Depo shot that you don't have to think about for 3 months? At least you wouldn't have to think about taking something every day and you''ll know you're covered when you see your fiance. Perhaps you could also look into the Mirena IUD. Those last for up to 5 years and you don't have to think about a thing. I also think they make your periods much lighter and sometimes even makes them stop.
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
