I had my mirena put in nov 9, 2011 and did not have ANY spotting or bleeding in December and so far I have not had an bleeding this month, also I can not find my strings...could I be pregnant? I have been sexually active with no protection and he cums inside me while I've had my mirena(sorry if thats TMI). I only have one main partner...should I be worried? occasionally I get really bad cramping and I think I might start bleeding but I never do...I'm really considering having it removed...

I've had Mirena for 4 yrs now and only spot occasionally. I cramped some in the begining but havent had a period since the insertion. My husband and I haven't used any type of backup either. I've never felt my strings but if you are concerned you can always contact you OBGYN and ask for a pelvic exam. They will be able to see the string if it is still in place. Good luck!!
