Default Birth control and Morning after pill?

I just started to take my birth control pill after I stopped using it for a month. But, today I took my second pill and I had unprotected sex (without a condom). Should I get the morning after pill just in case? Since the birth control doesn't work immediately? I just got off my period 2 days ago. I really need to know. And what are the sideeffects if I take the morning afterpill together with my birth control?

I hope everything worked out. If you just ended your period, there is less risk for pregnancy. Yes, you are suppose to wait a week with some Pills, or at least use another form of contraception in conjunction. The morning after pill is a heavy dose of hormones, but you need to continue to use your regular contraceptive Pill for the remainder of your cycle. Don't interrupt your pills to take the morning after pill. Side effects include (but not limited to) feeling very crappy - nausea.
