    Question The Depo-Shot

I took the depo shot for 9 months, my last injection was due in march and I didn't take it, I've read that it can take a while for your cycles to return to normal, but I haven't had a period since February. I want to get pregnant and don't know how long it takes to get out of your system. Any help would be appreciated.

hi! I was only one the depo shot of only 3 months (one shot) and after missing the shot for a week and a half my period came and lasted the normal time.when i was on the shot my period lasted two weeks and was really heavy and painful.it all depends on your individual body i have read on some websites you can get pregnant anywhere from 3weeks to 18 months after your last shot.so hope your one of the early ones!! good luck!!

Expect to be childless for about another year. It will take that long for it all to get out of your system and for your cycle to get back to normal.
