    Default Nuva Ring help!

Hi, I've been using nuva ring for about 6 months now. My periods usually occur regularly at the same time of week and day; however, for the past 3 months, my periods have been sorta random on the day. Also, my period bleeding intensity has decreased in amount; last month there was barely anything and it didn't last long at all.

Well, today (Wednesday), I'm supposed to start. But its last midnight now and i've not started. I'm getting very, very worried. I've been very stressed lately due to school and work and not sure if that is a factor. I've been having occasional unprotected sex, tho no climax-ejaculation. Could Nuva ring be causing my cycles to occur irregularly? Why am I not having my period yet?! What do I do!? I'm too scared to get a p.test. Advice please!

I also have another question. On the off week cycle (the 1 week I take nuva ring out), is that week considered covered by nuva ring? Is it safe to have sex?

    Thanks

Default Advice on the Nuva Ring

Hello I am new to this site. I just started the Nuva ring this week. Can some one give me advice on this type of birth control. Also does any one no if it helps with PMDD?

    Thanks Jen

    Default might be too late...

i might be too late in answering your questions. hopefully you've had your period by now. the nuva ring doesn't protect you when you take it out. if that were true, why put it in in the first place??? second, your period may be changing due to the changes in your hormone levels. its natural to miss a period due to stress. by not taking a p-test, you're stressing yourself out even more. what harm does it do to take a test and find out the answer? if you are preggers, wouldn't you want to know now and not 5 months from now?

my sisterinlaw used the ring for 2 years and had a severe stroke. . She was young, healthy and now an invalid. There are safer forms of birth control like the diaphram....birth control should not distroy your health.....

My doctor told me the Nuvaring DOES protect you while on your "out week". It's the same as when you take the sugar pills in your BC pill pack.
