I've been on Microgynon 30 for about 7 months and I get a lot of nausea when I'm taking it - I've been told this is normal. However I've also noticed that I get this horrible feeling when I urinate, which is on and off for the past couple of months but never when I'm on the 7 day pill break. Is this a possible side effect of the pill (anyone experienced this??) or is it probably something else, like a UTI maybe? Anyway, I'm coming off it and going onto another pill next month because of the sickness.

My other question is - is it normal to have a lighter period (withdrawal bleed I suppose), which is more brown than red? Since I started taking the pill my periods have become a bit lighter and shorter but my last one came on the day I expected it but was quite a bit lighter than my usual and there was a lot more brown blood than red (not much red at all). It lasted about 5-6 days as usual, with the last 2-3 days just brown and very light (although I usually get this). I've got a bit worried since I've never had a period/withdrawal bleed like this before and I've been feeling nauseous a lot (although I suppose this is probably from the pills), but obviously there is the pregnancy worry. Am I probably just being paranoid???
