Thread: skipping pills

Hi everyone. I'm taking a birth control pill but I am about to run out, i have 5 left. I need them to last through a trip to West Virginia. Would I start my cycle if I skip taking the pill for two days??

well if you just stop taking them all together then yes you should start your period soon after. but then when you decide to start taking them again then you should wait for the sunday after your period or if your period starts on a sunday then take your first pill of a new pack then. you might want to call your doctor to see if they could call in a months worth for you so you would have enough to last your trip. i wouldn't skip any days with your pills that just can make it possible for you to get pregnant. i would see if you could get another months worth from the doctor or just stop taking them and be safe with sex during the time your unprotected then start a fresh new pack when you get back from your trip.
