Thread: Ready to be free of BC

Hello everyone! I am 20 and have been married a little over a year, but I have been on Depo for almost 3. I am tired of all the side effects of Depo, and was thinking of just getting off of it and letting my cycles get back to normal. I don't want to be on any other birth control until I am completely regular. Is this silly to do? Its not a matter of not wanting to get pregnant, we are financially stable and could handle it, its just that I want a sort of fresh start. Has anyone else done this?

Everybody get different symptoms with BC, but these injections does give some trouble.
The earlier you decide to stop, the more time you give your body/hormones to regulate especially if you didnot get your period while on the Depo.
If you're not ready for a baby(eventhough you are financially) you should try other types like the pill that doesn't take that much time to work out of the system.
It is not silly to try to be completely regular... by all means do it!!!!!!! I wish there was someone that could advice me before so I don't have to struggle to be completely regular for the pass year(well I have been on injection for longer than you). I am also married for year + and are trying to get preggies.
