I am a 38 year old woman who is trying to find the right BC pill for me. I have tried Alesse and Ortho tri cyclen and has always experienced spotting which has become a real pain. Presently I am on Ortho which I started back in December had some spotting which ending on January 5...January seemed good, had a period in the beginning of February, had a few days without spotting and then Monday Feb 4 spotting started again and has not stopped. Any suggestions on which pill I should try to subside this problem? Its so frustrating.

That spotting is annoying, especially when it takes you off guard, huh?

Hmmm, maybe it's just your body adjusting to taking the new pill? It may take at least 3 months for your body to adjust if you haven't waited that long yet. Do you take it at the same hour during the day (maybe your body is super-sensitive to the timing)? Are you taking a 21 or 28 day pill? If you are on the 28-day, you could try taking the pill straight through for a couple of cycles without the sugar pills and see what happens.
