Unhappy birth control and upset stomach?!?!

After having frequent problems with birth control and depression, weight gain, acne, migraines, and frequent nausea I'm at a loss for what to do and it seems like the doctor that i'm seeing isn't hearing what i'm saying...
i've been on loestrin 24 fe for about 8 months up until i went to the pharmacist 4 months ago and he said there was a generic brand called microgestin. I liked the loestrin except for the fact that every cycle on the end the 2nd week and through the 3rd week i would have nausea so bad that i thought i was sick. It was until it happened again the next month that i thought it was probably cyclical. What can i do, what can i try to ease my symptoms of hormonal problems? Are these hormonal problems? I dont take birth control to ease period cramps or heavy periods, i take it for the preventative nature. I also really want to understand the effects of hormones that they put in the pills and what the differences are...any info helps. I dont want to feel like a hypochondriac.

I can no longer take any hormones orally. I get sick to my stomach and just dry heave. Hormones do different things to different people. I dont believe there is much you can do about it.

My DH and I use NFP now. Since I have a regular cycle and we are religious about our practices it works for us.

    Default bc stomach ache

I know what you mean, I've been on YAZ for about 3 years now, and it's been bitter-sweet to say the least. I do think it helped my emotions keep above depressed during my period, but weird stomach problems have occurred as well. I've always had weird stomach problems since I was little, but they were very infrequent and random. However, after starting YAZ, I was running to the bathroom after every meal and feeling nauseated. I started getting heartburn a lot too. It actually got to the point where I was basically starving myself and lost about 20 pounds (which have all been gained back, unfortunate and fortunately). Then it suddenly stopped for about 3 months, and now of course, it's back. Im not sure what's causing it, and I've been to a gastro-intestinologist repeatedly, who doesn't know what's wrong with me. I think birth control in general is just hard on your body because it's altering the natural levels of hormones. I mean, it's a pseudo-pregnancy, but our bodies arent meant to be pregnant for years. haha. I guess you have to weigh the positives and negatives and see if it's worth it. I think it is, but that's just me. Good luck
