minor side effects enough to change pill?
hello.
i have been on marvelon for 6 and a half months after being on the depo shot for almost 10 years. this is the first bc pill that i have tried.
after the first three months on marvelon i had no side effects until month 6 when my breasts became swollen and quite tender. they went back to normal on my off week then about halfway into the first week of month 7 they became swollen and tender again.
other than that i am having no other side effects and am very happy that my lubrication and sex drive issues have disappeared since going off depo. my periods are normal too.
so my question is in light of all the much worse side effects that could happen on other pills should i just tolerate this one thing?
(it's really not the end of the world but it would be nice not to be so sore)
also, what are the chances this side effect will go away considering that i'm on my 7th month on this pill?
thanks for the advice

Well, if it helps that much, maybe try the usual remedies first before switching.
Evening Primrose Oil, usually reduces breast pain. May also help joint pains, if that's an issue. It contains Omega-6, which is one of the essential fatty acids that the body needs. It's been wonderful for me.

It certainly wouldn't hurt, and it's easy to find. I go to GNC for mine. And it really does make a difference.
Go to Victoria secret and get measured for a bra, and have them pick out the best. Sometimes more support helps. If it's something like rubbing irritates your breasts, then full coverage satany bras might be better. They can cause more trouble then you'd guess, especially if they've changed size.
If you sleep on your stomach, try to sleep in a different position.
Wear a comfortable sports bra at night.
Any/all those things should offer some relief. Honestly, some side effects of BC can be severe, and interfere with school or work. So, I'd recommend trying some simple remedies like that first. If it's still not better, try to find the birth controls most similar and switch to them first, but keep a back up of the one you've got now in case.
It might be the best for you, but I understand how much it can annoy you to have them hurting all the time. If you do find one that's perfect, it would make your life that much better. See what your doc says, they do have to feel comfortable changing it anyway. Good luck.
