    Question Very Short Period

I'm not so sure what's going on, or how concerned I should be. I've been on birth control pills for five years, and switched to Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo almost two years ago. I always take my pill, and I'm pretty good at taking it around the same time everyday. My periods are always regular, they come on around the same day each time, and last about 5-6 days each time. This month I got my period one day late- no big deal, BUT then I only had it for a day and a half. It completely disappeared for two days and then I had it again (more than just spotting) for one night!

I haven't gone to get a pregnancy test because I did have some what of a period, just abnormal for me. I'm sure I was careful taking my pills. My girl friends thought I shouldn't be concerned because after being on the pill for a number of years there are eventually issues such as extended periods etc. which can be fixed by switching pills..

I'm just worried about ignoring it and then finding out I'm pregnant later next month. Maybe I'm being parnoid? I think I need more opinions....Thanks!

If you are consistant with your pill then the chances of pregnancy are slim. I'm sure it will be negative but take a pregnancy test. It will make you feel better to see the result.
