    Default Today Sponge - Worried!

    Hello

I'm usually on birth control but I haven't picked up my package from the clinic yet & my boyfriend & I used the Today Sponge.

I have never used the sponge before & I have a few questions -

Is the removal string loop supposed to go all the way up into my vagina during intercourse?

I know where my cervix is & I'm pretty sure I put the sponge all the way in - as to cover it.. but I'm a bit weary about how far I put it up. Is there a chance, I put it up too deep?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

The string is suppose to hang so you can remove it. As long as you can feel it so you can pull it out you're OK. You are suppose to cover the cervix. I think you're suppose to leave it in a couple of hours also to make sure it kills his stuff. I haven't used it in years, but I would assume it still works the same.
