    Hello!
Recently I started back up on the pill several months ago. I have had no problems. Now the embarassing part. Last month I lost my pack of pills. I took only one pill starting on a Sunday. I decided not to spend for another prescription for that month. I have been off of it for a month. My period hasn't started when it should even though have had premenstrual cramps etc. telling me that it is going to start. I'm am pretty regular and I am several days late. Could missing my pills for a month delayed my period?
My husband and I used condoms during this month. Surely I am not pregnant?

It is probably your hormones off track. When I went off the pill I didn't have a period for almost 2 months. Then I had an extremely heavy period and had to go to the hospital because I had never seen that much blood before. It was bad.The doctor said it was like I was having two at once because I missed one.So if this happenes don't be too alarmed.I have since started a new birth control but it did worry me that I had no period.Wish you the best.

Birth control pills maintains certain hormone levels in your body which regulate your cycles. When you stop taking them or miss some, your bodies hormones will start to fluctuate and thus so will your cycle and symptoms. It will take a while before your hormones will balance out naturally. If you start taking your BC again, it may take some time to balance back out that way also. Your period will come again, it just takes time. Some times, a couple of months.
