    hey
iv been on the pill for about 2 and a half years. only went on the pill due to having exstremly irregular and heavy periods which led to me beening anemic. i was put onto a dual-pill (Dianette) which is stronger than other contraceptive pills. since starting dianette i haven't experienced any irregular periods and it has help my mild acne prob too.
though due to been very buzy i hadn't had time to go to my docs to get a renewal prescription for the next 6 months!...i decided to wait till my next period and in the meantime renew my prescription...though at the end of that cycle there was no period..?so couldn't start back on the pill!
theres no chance im pregnant and im assuming that the reason why i didnt get a period could be due to the change in hormone levels im only 20 so no chance in it being the menopause!..the 2nd month is nearing and still no indicators of getting a period (i.e craps) worring doesn't help as i know it can pro-long getting a period!!...i just hope it isn't any health problem...(i know that staying on the pill stops the egg from growing and that if on the pill over a long period can leave your eggs becoming permenly alseep)!!

im wondering has this happened to you? or maybe sumone you may know of..?and how long should i leave it till going to see the doctor?

    appreciate any replies

I actually just asked my doctor about going off the pill last week. She said that it takes your body about three months to get back on track. If you are worried, maybe you could talk to a nurse at your doctors office.

    Hi,
I do agree with the.time.is.now. It does take three months for your body to get back on track. I was trying to get my period back after stopping a 5 year injection bc. After a year off and no period, I put on Femodene for 3 months to get my period which I got whilst on the first months pack.
    So just relax.

    Smile Going off the pill

I went off Dianette in March, had my first pill free period in April and am now awaiting my next period which is 2days late. My doctor told me before that I may not be regular after being on the pill for five years for a while and that this period might not arrive for a few months. Did any one put on weight from going off the pill? Just wondering!
