I wanted to know, has anyone here taken or currently taken any birth control which gives you less periods a year (like 4 or one every 3 months)? I'm curious to know what are the side effects and if its worth it. Also, when your period finally comes, is it heavier than normally or last longer than normal. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

im not on that type of BC but i have heard from a friend that sometimes she will miss a pill, not often but in three months its likely and she hates that she has to wait so long for her period because of the possibilty of being pregnant. So she just complained to me that she just gets worried because she is not sure if she is going to miss her period or not, so basically three months of worrying instead of one, kind of stressful.
