If you plan to have children some time soon, I suggest that you stop taking birth control now. Simply because it can take many forms of BC a long time to leave your system. Not only that, but it takes some time for your body to get it's hormones balanced back to natural. I am not sure if it would make you infertile, but I know that some BC cause progesterone deficiency which in turn causes progesterone infertillity. That is reversable with hormone suppliments.

Also, BC is known to have adverse side effects such as mood swings and lack of libido. Many women will tell you that they had horrible sex lives until they stopped taking BC. Seems kind of ironic to me that you are taking something to be used during sex, but that same thing causes you to not want to have sex. Haha. My libido pretty much disappeared completely until I stopped taking BC.
