I am on my first pack of Aviane. I had been on Aleese for 5+ years previous to the switch. The pharmacist told me that Aviane was a generic for Aleese and that they were exactly the same. It seems as though I've started my period 7 days earlier than normal. Has anyone experienced this when switching to Aviane or is it just a change in my regular cycle? fficeffice" />>>

I was prescribed Alesse for my last bc, but they only had Aviane at my pharmacy. I was miserable on Aviane, and when I read reviews from several women, I realized I wasn't the only one. I would become so angry and depressed I'd have fits of rage. I also got the worst cramps a week before and during my period. I would also spot a week before, so I would bleed for a week and a half. I was on Aviane for 4 months total and nothing got better like they say it will when you wait at least 3 months. Everyone is different though, so maybe Aviane will be alright for you. I'll tell you this though, it really isn't as effective as they say Alesse should be. Hope this helps.
