When they say "vaginal infection" as a side effect, what do they mean?
I got a small growth on my labia and went to the doctor to have it checked out, she said that it was just a bacterial infection from not wearing cotton underwear and restrictive clothing (they did a std check too) and gave me some antibiotics, but the bump never went away.. is this a side effect of the nuvaring?

Hmm... I would guess that they are referring to either a yeast infection or a bacterial infection since they are naturally occuring and are effected by the PH levels in the vagina. But the two infections do not cause growths. Can you describe this growth? You may want to go back to the doctor if this hasn't gone away yet. The medication they gave you may have not worked well for you.
