Thread: Experiences with Aviane

My doctor has just prescribed me Aviane 28. I cannot take it until I get my period next month (I am not currently on anything; I am taking a month break after a long bout of unsuccessful BCPs). I have previously been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, Yasmin, Loestrin 24 fe and Yaz, and none have been successful. All of them made me moody, and Loestrin and Yaz both decreased my sex drive (I suppose that's one way of preventing pregnancy).

What are people's experiences with Aviane?

I've had the same problems with birth control pills as you with the moodiness and ugly side effects. This one was my last hope since it is the lowest dose pill in the USA. I've been on it for 6 months and so far, I've only noticed a little more acne, which I'm prone to anyway. Also I do get a few moodswings at random times but NOTHING like what they were on other higher dose pills.
