Pregnant on the pill?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site but just had a question about getting pregnant on the pill. I have been on the pill for years, but have never been real good at taking it. I tend to miss a few pills a month (I know, I know). The first day of my last period was July 26. I was supposed to start again on August 24 and begin my new pack of pills on the 27th. My period is now 12 days late. I have missed pills before and have never been even one day late. So this is something new. I have taken numerous HPT and all have come back negative. I never started my new pack of pills just in case I was pregnant. I had cramping on the day my period was supposed to come, am urinating more frequently, and am feeling a bit more tired, but other than that nothing else feels different. I am engaged to be married so although this pregnancy would be unexpected it wouldn't be unwelcomed. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and what the outcome was. I go to the doctor on Friday. I just can't stand not knowing. Thanks for the advice

Well i was on the patch and i had to stop because i was allirgic and i waited to start the pills until after my period was over well my period was for 2 weeks off and on. I got pregnant, now i have a beautiful baby boy in my life. All i can say is you can have false negatives but not false positives. i say go to your dr appt and have a blood test they are more accurate the the over the counter tests. Also if you getting married and having alot of stress that can be whats causing your missed period. You should also talk to your fiance about all of this.
