Unhappy Yaz

I have been on the pill for a week now and do not like how Yaz is making me feel. I am irratable, craving sweets and junk food(have never been a big sweets fan), bloated, cramps, lack of energy, and moody. The first few days that I took Yaz, I had no energy so I called my doctor. I asked him if this was normal and he didn't think it could be the pill. It had to be a change in my lifestyle but the thing is I never changed anything in my lifestyle except the pill. I just want to quit the pill but my husband is currently deployed and coming home for his leave in 1 week and 6 days. I definately do not want to get pregnant when he comes home. To make matters worse, I have lost 30 pounds since he left but I can feel the pounds coming back with this pill.... I don't care what the doc says, I know my body and I know the pill is doing this to me. Has anyone every had this problem with Yaz?? Did you find a different brand that worked better for you??? Do you think I should try a different brand, stick it out, or try a different alternative?

I did take Yaz, I hated it, it did weird things to my body. My gyno said it is the ONLY pill that gets complaints from women who say they feel crazy. It is uniphase, meaning that in each active pill there are the same amount of hormones. I couldn't bring myself to stay on it for more than three weeks.
After a while off BC, I asked for a different kind of pill because of menstrual issues (my boyfriend is deployed and leave is a LONG way off.) I was given a different low-dose that is tri-phase and I have had minimal problems and much better menstrual symptoms. I'm only two months into it, but that's a pretty good sign!
I would say keep taking it for the whole month. I don't know how long your husband's deployment is, but I sure wouldn't want to go through a pregnancy alone ... and wouldn't want to go through his leave without COPIOUS amounts of sex Stick it out while he's home and then see your doc.
