The doves over the water
they fly across the sea
to find a bit of heaven
a place for just you, from me.
God may have taken you
too soon from me
but he called you home
"My child, come back to me"
Whispers in the wind
sound just like your hum
The lord wanted you
to sing his recessional song
The reverberation of your laugh
still moves in my ears
like a gentle wave rolling
over the footprints of bad times.
I know you watch over me,
but I still shut my eyes tight,
hoping to see you.
You may be gone from my arms, my love,
but I still see your light.
Just a poem I wrote for my aunt after she passed away...anybody like it?
