Doctors

As my years pass, my admiration for doctors reduces significantly.
Take today for example, i had an appointment because my self diagnosed Restless Leg Syndrome is becoming unbearable...to the point of loosing sleep.
So, i reluctantly took valuable time out of my hectic day to see if the doctor had any answers to ease my symptoms... did he fudge. Useless, and apparently its not RLS - its just to do with being on my feet all day.
I was actually grinding my teeth in annoyance at his ity. There are 3 types of RLS:
1. Primary or Familial: Restless Legs Syndrome is found to run in the family.
2. Secondary: RLS happens as a result of another condition such as low iron levels or chronic diseases.
3. Idiopathic: RLS occurs when there is no known associated conditions or family history.
All my symptoms are the same as RLS, yet he didnt once ask me if i had a family history of RLS (I do), or whether im anaemic (I am).
Am i turning into an annoying know-it-all or is it correct to follow my instincts on health matters?
As for now, im increasing my iron intake and taking long hot baths before bed, (thanks google
) as well as having the occassional physio.
Im sure that this'll ease my 'jelly legs'... so, from now on, google is my doctor.
Rant over.
