Default Books on Sex

Thought this might be a good thread to start. I'm into learning and understanding all I can about sex and sexual satisfaction. So why not have a thread to discuss books on the subject?

I recently got 4 new books: The Orgasm Loop, Lube Job, Going Down and The New Tantra, Simple & Sexy (Fusion Tantra).

So far I've read The Orgasm Loop and found it excellent. Here's my book report if you will. This book is designed to help women who are orgasm challenged to learn to orgasm and do it regularly. It covers self pleasure, intercourse, anal, oral, non touch orgasm - pretty much the full range. It's well written, has lovely photography and lots of good info. I can pretty cum from the first touch but still found some great stuff I will work with in here. For women who have never or infrequently orgasm I think book could be a life changer.

Default Female Chauvinist Pigs

Whilest traveling I can across this book in a bookstore. It's sub title is. Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture. I'm about half through and it raises some interesting points about the sidetracking or maybe different vein that has arisen supposedly out of the feminist movement. It's women objectifying themselves. Guess it's part of the discovery process

Default Finished this book

Female Chauvingist Pigs was interesting and informative. I've examining some of the issues raised in this book and this really moved things along for me. The sex industry, where intercourse is a job, women who are accessing materials designed to titilate men's lowest responses to women and what is going on in lesbian sub cultures. Among teens, the conflicting messages of so called sex education and media, glorification of porn stars and strippers, there was a middle school that actually had a stripper speak for career day ! The equating of sex with aquisition as if partners were collectables is also discussed.

The book is well supplied with notes and reference materials and I will probably look into some of those. If you want to get a handle on some odd uncurrents of the so called sexual revolution, this is a good place to start. I was not surprised to learn that despite an increased appearance of overtly sexual behavior most women aren't experiencing true pleasure from sex any more than they reported back when they were 'repressed'. In many cases it seems the more blatant and overt the behavior the more disconnected these woman are from their bodies.

Well worth reading.

that book sounds very interesting wildchild, i am concerned where the raunch culture is going. when i was a teenager, alot of music was about protesting injustices now it seems to be i wanna slap my , and the girls are just filthy, basically singing porn stars, when did it all become about sex, when did music stop trying to save the world. what was someone afraid it might actually make a difference. we still have wars, hunger, cruelty and racism but you wouldnt know it by the music industry - whoops rant over!

Happy, I had suspected a number of things and this book confirmed them, the author's own research and the other materials she referenced supported that there are a fair number of highly visable women (Paris Hilton is a good example) who are seeking some sort of acceptance or ego boosting through sexual exhibitionism, in general the rauchier the better. However, this doesn't translate into sexual satisfaction or pleasure, it's an ego trip, it's a arre effort to gain male acceptance, it involves sexually using other women as well as men, really a strange twisted thing.
Instead of glorying in being female and learning to find their own pleasure, they have adopted a sort of frat house movie view and treatment of themselves and others. It really isn't any better than the just lay there and let him do his thing mentality of the past as far as women's pleasure goes. They are disassociated from their bodies. Sad.

i agree they are predators, i really dislike paris hilton and she seems to be a role model for young women. but its all seems to be about gaining male admiration but using sex, saying you are a feminist seems to be equated with weirdo lesbian or baby killer! i hate it. there is hope though, as a new generation of young men, seem to be more conservative. if these girls are doing this for male admiration, they will change there ways.

Default Another New Book

Just got One Hour Orgasm, this looks like a good one! There are his and hers DVDs available too. Just read the first couple pages - I have a PG Wodehouse I'm in the middle of - but the longest woman's orgasm on record (they said don't try this at home - it was a scientific experiement) was 11 hours! That sounds like too much of a good thing.

Firstly, I just wanted to say what a good Thread WildChild, so many ladies have no idea how to find themselves and your suggestions are fantastic...

Secondly, I just wanted to say, that (man) by the time you read them all, your going to be a Wild Child for sure... (lucky bugger) who ever he is... haha.

(I know you have a sense of humor)

And, Thirdly Paris who Happy? She is already going by the used by date, eventually I think to be destined to be on her own, after all her Mother taught her to be this way, this is what she did, and so, like Mother, like Daughter but a serious man who wants a wife of class? She has cooked her egg a bit long I think...

My opinion....
