Couldn't find a thread about this series so I thought I'd post.
I am a big fan of this series (book 10 will be out May 4th). They actually helped start the show on HBO called True Blood. Anyone else read this series at all? If so, which was your favorite book? Who is your favorite character? I don't have much of a fave but I have to say Eric is up on my list (and he's extremely attractive on the show if I do say myself!!). Sookie is a good character though as well.

    Tell us your opinions!!

    BEWARE: Spoilers may surface

OMG!! I LOOOOVE THE SHOW!! The best part of it is how Bill says Sookie's name. "Ohhhh SOOKEHHH."

If I started watching the shows first, do you think I'd like the books too? I might give them a read if you think they'd be worth it.

Gotta say though, I don't think Eric's attractive at ALL. Maybe I'd like him more on paper.

I haven't read the books (surprisingly, I read everything else), but my guess, books are generally always better than the movies. READ AWAY!

Well, I personally started watching the show before reading the series. I had no idea it was even a book series and it's sooo much better. After reading a few of them though you wish the series could follow the books lol

Great series guys for those who may like the other worldly creatures like vamps and wolves and stuff. Give it a shot if you haven't. There are 9 currently available right now. Book 10 will be out at the beginning of May.

I love the books! And yes Eric is awesome, especially when he had amnesia. I think that was my fav one. I can't say I liked True Blood though. It just seemed off to me. Then again the only tv series that I have liked that came from a book was the Dresden Files...Sigh if only they didn't take it off the air.

I just bought book 10 yesterday so I am eager to read it.
I watched the show far before reading the books but I am a bit dissapointed with the show because they don't follow the books more closer. Ah well, still good and yea, I have to agree that when Eric had amnesia was probably my favorite book.

    Great series!
I love them probably just as much as I love the show. I wish they would follow the books a bit better with the show but it's still amazing regardless!
I managed to get books 1-7 for fairly cheap off barnesandnoble.com. The whole set I think was $10 which is a steal and they were all brand new. Keep looking around Zietta, you'll find them all!

I know this is a bit of an old thread but had to join in. I love these books... particularly some of the scenes with Eric.
