Talking What Is YOUR Favorite movie (or book/theater) of all time?

Well, I started it!

Please share your favorite book/movie/theater play of all time? Why is it your favorite?

I can't say that I have one because I like so many different ones! But one of my favorite categories of movies would be COMEDY (3 Stooges, Little Rascals for example.)

Smile My Favorites!

My favorite books are the "Adept" series by Piers Anthony. Great science fiction books. I love the entire series.

My favorite movies.... well... I have a few...

"Dirty Dancing" - The original with Patrick Swayze (sp?)
"Gone with the Wind"
"Urban Cowby" with John Travolta
"The Notebook" - serious tear jerker!

Well.... the list could go on and on, but I have to get ready for Thanksgiving dinnner. Yeay!

Talking

You both picked some good ones!

I like all kinds of movies: Action/Adventure, Mystery/Suspense, Drama (If it's good ) and most of all, Comedy!

A few comedies I could recommend:
My Super ExGirlfriend
Shrek (Ok, ok, I know it's a cartoon... but I roll in tears watching it!)
3 Stooges (told ya! )
Shaun of the Dead (quirky, but funny to me)

Don't know if you can actually classify this as a movie, maybe a series, but one of my favorites is Band of Brothers.

Most of the time I am watching HG TV.

Default Suggestion

"Pan's Labyrinth" is an amazing foreign film, with english subtitles. It has to be my favorite movie of all time. Of course I love most movies in the comedy genre, Will Ferrell = hilarious, or action, Transformers = kick***! But for a movie that will make you cringe, cry, and smile, rent "Pan's Labyrinth".

Did someone say "TRANSFORMERS"??

That was the whip!
I'm gonna buy it (it's been out for a while) and I am crazy about sci-fi/ action flicks!
But, it was a cartoon years ago.

Some "classics" that are good:

"Dial 'M' for Murder"
"Whatever Happened to BabyJane?"
Alfred Hitch**** movies
"The Defiant Ones"
"12 Angry Men" -- the original version
Frank Sinatra's "Tony Rome" movies
"Double Indemnity"
"My Girl Friday"
"MidWay"
"Tora! Tora! Tora!"

There are about a ba-zillion more, but those are a few that I could think of... here are a few more:

"Pearl Harbor" (with Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale and Josh Hartnett)
"The Haunting"
"The House on Haunted Hill"
"Gladiator"
The Jason Bourne series
"Good Will Hunting"
"We Were Soldiers"
"Saving Private Ryan"
Alien series
Predator I & II
"AVP"

I'll leave it alone for now.
