i don't know if this movie fits your tastes exactly, but i just saw a really cute french movie called hors de prix with audrey tatou (from amelie) and it was really good. Its about a woman who is a gold digger who sleeps with the hotel's barman because she thinks he is rich. Hilarity ensues, and all in all i found it to be quite charming. If you can find it i would suggest that you give it a look.

over the weekend I watched The Holiday with my boyfriend, and it really made me melt haha. Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Kate Winslet.. Both funny and charming, and much sacrifice so I think it should be right up your alley.

"Pride and Prejudice", the Kiera Knightley version, literally makes me swoon. The part where Darcy declares his love for her, I have to rewind the scene and watch it twice because I'm fainting the first time.

"Sense and Sensibility" with Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant is also great. Jane Austen was amazingly ahead of her time in sorting out romantic perils and personalities - in P&P and S&S.

"When Harry Met Sally" is my all-time favorite movie, but its a romantic comedy, not like a star-crossed lover type of movie. But it translates into everyday life and my friends and I have never stopped quoting it since we saw it in the theater.

"Shakespeare in Love" is great secret-romance passion movie.

"The Bridges of Madison County" - Meryl Streep being amazing, as usual. You so want her to get out of the car! (If you saw it you know what I'm talking about)

Also, I just saw "Out of Africa" with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford and that was another really good love story.

The Holiday was really good, too. Great romantic comedy.

How about 'Under The Tuscan Sun' with Diane Lane. I thought it was a very good story, and Diane Lane did a good job playing a women who was burned and decided to take some risks. Very enjoyable.

I loved both the book "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks and the movie with Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, James Gardner and Gena Rowlands.

Being older and so in love it will be forever imprinted in my mind. I love to read and one of my favorite things to do is to curl up in front of the fireplace at night and read. This movie is one of my favorites........
