Default Batman II: The Dark Knight

I saw this the on the 19th, a day after it came out. My boyfriend and I didn't have too much trouble getting in, seeing as we bought our tickets 2 weeks in advance and showed up an hour early...STILL to be met with a 40-odd person line in front of us! But no matter...we were going to see BATMAN! (I'm sorry, I'm a dork.)

But oh. my GOOD GOD IN HEAVEN was it the most amazing thing I have ever seen. It was all it was hyped up to be and so, so, so much more. Heath Ledger was just...My god, absolutely amazing. He was so deliciously psychotic, I couldn't even take my eyes off of him. He absolutely stole the show. His portrayal of The Joker was absolutely beautiful. I can already see him winning Oscar after Oscar for this. You watch him play this role and he takes you to another place entirely. His acting, not his makeup, makes him entirely unrecognizable. He acts right down to his very walk and blink. His lip licking, hair flicking, cackling...Beautiful.

Christian Bale was really great, too. Though, (dare I say it) he wasn't half as good as Heath. He was completely overshadowed. He did some awesome stunt work, but as far as a lot of great dialogue, really not so much. He was muuuuch better in the last one, though that's really not his fault. The Joker really was just a much better, more interesting role in this movie.

Anywho, enough of my rantings...Please discuss!:P

Heath Ledger will never ever, be forgotten and this was his best movie ever, he even felt the part, and the evil sides, he related to with the drugs, which eventually unfortunately killed him.

He even related to a singer/actor, it's on his site somewhere, where he felt that, that would be him and it was.

I can only say WHAT A TRAGEDY... Purely....

Sad..............

I just got back from seeing the film and yes it is a great movie. It's dark, suspenseful, action packed (givin). The story is a skillfuly done rollercoaster. My only complaint was the lack of motivation behind the surgence of Two-Face. I think this was due to the overely developed character of the Joker. Which the late Heath Ledger pulled off brilliantly. He truley did steal the show. With this portrayal and the his untimely death you can lock him in for the Oscar.

It is a shame he died. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I seriously want to. Can't see "Batman" without going to see this one.

If Heath Ledger wins an OSCAR he'll be the second person in history to win it post-mortem. I hope he gets it because I'm yet to hear someone say it was anything short of the greatest thing since sliced bread.

My boyfriend made jokes about Heath Ledger dying. Then, months and months later, we saw The Dark Knight. His first comment after the movie, " Now I'm sad that he's dead ". It really was an all around good movie. It's hard to keep my attention for over two hours, but the time just flew by. Can't wait for the next one!

So this might sound cliche but a lot of people said he died because he couldn't break character after the movie or even when the movie was showing. They "supposedly" interviewed his maid and what not and a couple of people but hey this can all be just talk.

In any case this was an A-mazing movie
