Stress can make anything worse. 9 times out of 10 it's for nothing. By all means be proactive for your health and get checked but know that it's probably not serious. One of my sister's had fibriods and they can be a pain. Rumor has it that cutting caffine can help. Go to the library and check out the Dec issue of More magazine, they had an excellent article on differnt treatments and how a lot of doctors aren't up on the less drastic treatments - good stuff to know ahead of time.

What is it that they actually see to determine that, and how often does someone get the "bad news" after getting one done? I mean obviously something is there or they wouldn't have done it... so I guess I'm kind of worried. I'm 21 and I do have high risk HPV, and I'm sure waiting a year to get this done could have caused issues...
Hey Jettpack, I had this procedure done in 2004 and I found out I had high risk HPV also after that I found out I had pre-cancerous cells on my cervix, I had a procedure (done right in the doc's office) done call cyrotherapy (sp?) where they freeze your cervix to get rid of that first layer of cells this sloughs off and new healthy cells form in it's place well in my case that didnt happen I ended up having a LEEP procedure (which was day surgery) done after the cells came back after that I was fine up until now hope this helps and good luck

There i was told another story that maybe its ovulation pain,i was given the pills and told not to drink milk/alcohol i kept on bleeding but still the blood was not that much visible it just happened for 3 to 4 days then i was ok,now is the whitish discharge that stinks and the itchy opening of the vigina.im still seeking for the symptoms of cervical cancer and non have i found,i dont knw if i have cancer/not im transfixed.please help,im looking forward to hear your advise and anything you offer will be highly appriciated!

I know the post I'm answering is from March but the thread is still very prominent in the forum and I think the following needs saying:

If anyone is at all worried about symptoms you are presenting being indicative of cervical cancer then the thing to do is go get a PAP smear. There is nothing to be gained from worrying, panicking, endlessly searching the internet - all the advice on the internet you will find may help you work out that your symptoms are more likely to be something else or that they are inconclusive but the only real and certain way to be sure is to get a PAP smear (aka smear test). Go to your doctor, well woman clinic, sexual health clinic or (if you are in a blind panic and really cannot find a doctor or clinic to help you) an Emergency Room and get it done. It is the only way be certain - no one on an internet forum can tell you one way or the other, no doctor worth her/his salt will either just from hearing about your symptoms. They have to look on a cellular level.

If you are reading this thread and are at all uncertain where you stand, please just go have a smear.

In fact, if your last smear was 3 years ago or more, please go have a smear. I left mine for no good reason other than carelessness coupled with the completely mistaken notion that 10+ years in a monogamous relationship meant I wasn't really at risk. Had I left it another year I could have been in real trouble.

Please go get a smear.
