I have a really good friend who has Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He has had this disease for about the past 12-15 years. He has undergone 3 rounds of chemo in that length of time. The first round of chemo, he lost his hair. He felt nauseous, but never got "sick" from it. He was worn out. He got better again.

The 2nd round of chemo (4 or 5 years later) he didn't lose ANY hair. He never felt sick, just drawn down (worn out). He got better again.

The 3rd round of chemo he had was last year. He didn't lose any hair, he never felt sick and he said that when he started to get the cancer back he felt worn out...but when he had chemo, he felt like he'd hit the fountain of youth. He felt energized.

The reason I mention this is twofold. First...don't think that because you're diagnosed with this type of cancer it necessarily means that you're not going to live very long. Second, don't assume that because you've got to have chemo that you're going to have a terrible time of it. Third (and most importantly) I believe that attitude determines altitude. In other words, the higher your attitude is, the better your results are going to be.

God bless everyone affected by this sickness. I hope everyone here really does well and I hope that you are comforted and your families pain is eased as well. This disease, strangely enough has given my buddy a new lease on life. I hope it has the same effect on you.

Cheers.
